(Golden, Colo.) - Committed to spacecraft systems education, EyasSat, LLC, announces in-stock availability of its new EyaFlex microcontroller. Designed to supplement the company’s line of classroom satellites, the EyaFlex conveniently connects local sensors and peripheral devices to the EyasSat module stack for experimental use. The EyaFlex also functions as a standalone board when connected directly to the customer’s PC. “The EyaFlex board is a great way to connect your own equipment to the EyasSat so it becomes a working part of the satellite,” says Gerry Murphy, EyasSat, LLC owner. “Just connect the device to the standard interface jacks and send one command to activate the board. The EyaFlex becomes part of the telemetry and you can send it commands, too.” Serving aerospace companies and universities across the globe, EyasSat LLC designed the EyaFlex in response to instructors and technicians looking for expanded EyasSat capability. The board allows them to supplement their EyasSat training by conducting realistic instrumentation tests with EyasSat, LLC’s EyasSat Control Panel PC software. “The EyaFlex fills the need to attach other hardware to the EyasSat—not only to extend its capabilities, but possibly change the mission, as well,” says Murphy. The EyaFlex includes the following standard features:
CSS’s EyasSat trainer originated as an effort to provide practical satellite experience to students and professionals—without posing undue risk to costly flight hardware. Since the company’s inception, the EyasSat system has been adopted by prestigious organizations and educational facilities like NASA, Cape Canaveral AFS, France’s International Space University and the United States Air Force Academy.
